Big T's BBQ Brand & Content
A Southern-inspired rebrand followed by ongoing content, social media, and advertising creative.
Explore case studyThe Company
Big T's BBQ & Smokehouse is a Calgary-area restaurant known for Southern-style barbecue and meats slow-smoked over Okanagan apple wood. The restaurant had also been featured on You Gotta Eat Here.
The business wanted to preserve its Southern roots while building a more contemporary, recognizable identity and a stronger presence in Calgary's competitive restaurant market.
The Project
Big T's needed a full rebrand that would modernize its image without losing the character people associated with the restaurant. The new brand also had to work across in-store materials, food-led social content, promotions, and advertising.
Approach & Delivery
I rebuilt the visual identity around the Big T's BBQ logo, using deep red, charcoal, worn typography, and weathered woodgrain to create a smoky, New Orleans-influenced look.
I extended that system through menus, gift cards, business cards, posters, mugs, catering sheets, and contest creative. The ongoing content program included food photography, short-form video, social posts, and timely promotions for game days, holidays, and new offerings.
